The cottage is situated on the biggest lake in
Eastern Ontario. It is part of the Big Rideau Corridor (a.k.a.
Rideau Canal Waterway), which runs all the way from Ottawa to
Kingston.

By boat you can navigate the corridor all the
way from Ottawa, make a pit stop at the cottage and continue your
journey to Kingston, which then leads into Lake Ontario. Along the
way you will pass about 45 locks, and cover a distance of about
202km (125.6 miles). At some of its deepest points, the lake is as
deep as 100 meters (329 feet).
